What does a first session with you look like?
I view therapy as a dynamic process shaped by the connection between therapist and client. It provides a space for you to genuinely be yourself and experience compassion and understanding in return. Our journey together will go at your own pace as we navigate past and present experiences that might be causing distress. By shining a light on previously concealed issues, we can bring them into the open and address the pain and suffering they may have caused in order to heal. In a collaborative effort, we will work towards your personal goals and gain a deeper understanding of your unique identity.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My background and training is in psychodynamic psychotherapy and person-centered therapy, however, I utilize an eclectic approach to cater to what works best for you. Adopting a holistic approach to healing, I may suggest mindfulness and other somatic practices to help you to integrate and to support you in developing new skills and behaviors.
