What does a first session with you look like?
Initial consultation is usually done over the phone after which, a diagnostic assessment is scheduled. During the assessment, information is gathered from you about your symptoms and other pertinent information that may have contributed to the symptoms. Depending on your problem presentation, treatment options are carefully selected and agreed upon with you including medication, therapy, diagnostic procedures, or referrals if indicated. A follow up visit is usually done in or or two weeks to determine the effectiveness the treatments prescribed to you. Your medication may be continued during your follow up appointment if you are doing well, adjusted or totally changed to a different medication if your symptoms are not controlled.
