The therapeutic environment I strive to create is one that is open, supportive, and safe. Our first session together will consist of a brief introduction to the therapeutic process and I will do my best to answer any concerns or questions you may have. We will identify the presenting issue as I get to know you as an individual to ensure that your care is tailored to you. As we continue to build rapport we will develop goals for treatment and how to incorporate the tools and techniques into your daily life.
I utilized Mindfulness based cognitive therapy and Solution -Focused Brief Therapy. I utilize techniques such as the Body Scan, Mindful movement, mindfulness of breath, mindfulness of thoughts and emotions, breathing exercises, and overall how to use the skills we naturally have to improve our mental health. I utilize solution-focused brief therapy to help those individuals who are struggling with a specific issue, to realize their own personal strengths and how to use them to overcome the issue.
