What does a first session with you look like?

When speaking with new clients I often describe the first session to working out after a time of being sedentary; your goal is to get stronger but the next day your body aches there are pains in places you never imagined and you question why? Similar to beginning an exercise regime you feel an emotional soreness or vulnerability. This is just the start of a brave and fearless adventure to the new and improved you.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

Cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT), Mindfulness based therapy(MBCT), Dialectal behavior therapy(DBT) and Rational emotive therapy. CBT helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative impact on behavior or thoughts. MBCT combines CBT, meditation and Mindfulness practices to become more aware of the present moment. DBT a type of CBT that tries to identify and change negative thinking patterns and propels positive behavior changes
