What does a first session with you look like?
The purpose of our initial meeting will be to gather information about your psychiatric history and past and current symptoms that are bothersome to you. We will work on developing a comprehensive treatment plan together that focuses on you as an individual and which aspects of your mental health you would like to improve upon. If your treatment plan involves the use of medication, we will discuss the risks, benefits, possible side effects and alternatives, and proceed from that point moving forward. In the time allotted, I will answer all of your questions and everything else should flow naturally from that point moving forward.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I practice psychopharmacology. By the end of your first session, we will determine the best course of action and proceed from there. Your progress will be continuously re-evaluated to ensure that your needs are being met, and that your symptoms and quality of life are improving.
