What does a first session with you look like?
The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. What is your style/approach to therapy?
I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with more than 20 years experience in the behavioral health field, I possess the clinical acumen to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.
What should we know about your experiences and background?
Rachael Darian is a dually board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and specialist in adult primary care medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Rachael treats concerns and conditions related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, sleep disorders, and bipolar. She enjoys working with adults of all ages and has extensive experience working with active military personnel, veterans, emergency service workers, and disaster response workers. Rachael earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing Science and Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. She completed her Master s degree in Nursing Science at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and has an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. Rachael served as a sub-investigator in various FDA Phase II, Phase III, and post-marking clinical drug studies. Additionally, Rachael served as a graduate professor in psychopharmacology at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. She leverages her scientific and academic knowledge to create effective and individualized treatment plans. Rachael understands the profound suffering experienced by individuals struggling with behavioral health issues in a fast-paced and demanding world. As a compassionate and collaborative provider, Rachael promises to listen to your concerns and work with you to develop a safe and effective plan of care.
