What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and client-centered. I believe that therapy should feel like a safe and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. My goal is to help you gain insight, break unhelpful patterns, and develop practical tools to feel more confident and in control of your life.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success in therapy looks different for everyone, but it often means feeling more in control, self-aware, and confident in navigating life’s challenges. Some clients notice progress when they respond to situations differently, set healthier boundaries, or feel less stuck in negative thought patterns. Others may experience success as a shift in how they view themselves—with more self-compassion, acceptance, and resilience. Therapy isn’t about perfection; it’s about growth, understanding, and feeling better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs.
What are some the unique issues faced by clients in your particular field of specialization, in terms of mental health education, care, and/or treatment?
Clients often face difficulty adjusting to life transitions, emotional flooding, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties, all of which can feel overwhelming in today’s fast-paced, high-pressure world. Young adults and women, in particular, navigate unique stressors—from career pressures and identity shifts to societal expectations and relationship dynamics. Many struggle with setting boundaries, coping with perfectionism, or breaking free from patterns that no longer serve them.

Work History
Much of my experience as a therapist comes from working in oncology, supporting individuals and families coping with serious illness, grief, and life transitions. This work has given me a deep understanding of the emotional impact that medical challenges can bring, including the stress, anxiety, and uncertainty that often accompany a diagnosis. I have helped individuals process the complex emotions that arise during and after treatment, providing a space for them to navigate fear, grief, and identity shifts while also fostering resilience and hope. Beyond my work in oncology, I have supported adults and young adults facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and relational difficulties. I am especially passionate about working with young women as they navigate life transitions, helping them build confidence, manage stress, and develop healthy relationships. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that therapy feels both supportive and empowering.
