What does a first session with you look like?
Sometimes we need to make a change. Sometimes we need to heal. Sometimes we just need to make sense of our experiences and sometimes we need to show ourselves some kindness, reminding ourselves we are human. I am passionate about helping individuals on this journey of discovery, healing, and building strength.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I pull from a variety of modalities and techniques. I do believe however there is one essential constant that strengthens nearly all therapeutic processes. This constant is making connections from the past to the present. Making connections from where we were to where we are is a must for clarity. One must have clarity to gain awareness. Awareness is necessary to understand what it is we want and need, and what our potential options are for change. Thus, long-term therapeutic benefits are only possible when we explore the past to explain our present. These connections give us clarity, awareness and help us understand what our potential options are for change.
