What does a first session with you look like?

During the first session with me, your child and I will get to know one another. Therapy only works if there is a trusted relationship between me and your child. My goal is for them to leave feeling heard and safe. They should also be able to identify the reason we are meeting. The following sessions will follow a custom treatment plan for your child. Depending on the age and personality traits of your child, different techniques will be used during therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I believe that an integrated approach is best used for my clients. I find a mixture of talk therapy, mindfulness and learning coping skills have worked best for the children that I have worked with in the past.
