What does a first session with you look like?
I follow the most basic premise that effective therapy can only occur in the presence of authentic, empathic and absolute positive regard for you in our work together. You will be supported, seen, heard and provided therapeutic support that demonstrates the compassion and concern which drove me into this field to begin with.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I actually am most curious about YOU! Why now? What brought you into therapy at this moment in your life? I would be more than happy to share my background and approach with you during our session. But the better question for our work together is not what I can do for you, but what are YOU seeking most from ME? What are your best hopes from our work together? Since our work begins and ends with your set vision and goals for the outcome, I operate less as a director and coach, and more as a witness to and support of your evolution and change.
