What does a first session with you look like?
We'll start by discussing where you're at in your life. Where do you live, how do you spend your days? We'll talk about what brings you joy, as well as what doesn't. Where are you stuck? We're going to dissect some of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns to understand why they're there. This will make it easier to find out where the change needs to happen, and how we can get it started.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use an eclectic approach, a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also enjoy using feedback, humor, and active listening to best understand where you're at and what to work on.
