What does a first session with you look like?
During our sessions we will look at your goals for therapeutic interventions, and how you would like to feel about yourself, your life and relationships. We can look into early childhood, and we can look into the present moment. We can explore and identify challenges in internal belief systems that are keeping you frozen and unable to move forward. We can explore traumas and symptoms of depression and anxiety that haunt and impede the quality of your life and consider ways to move through them and gain insights and healing.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
There are many therapeutic theories, modalities and techniques-- and I can offer many avenues to healing trauma, depression, addiction and anxiety. I have training in child-parent psychotherapy, trauma, accelerated resolution therapy, addiction modalities, internal family systems/parts work/self-therapy, CBT, DBT and I am a certified first responder counselor.
