What does a first session with you look like?
By counseling style is very laid back and client focused. You will be an active member in your journey. I want you to feel empowered and hopeful after sessions as well as a sense of relief or such that a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Know that you are not alone and I am here to be a part of this journey of healing with you.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use a more narrative focused treatment method, with aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialetical behavioral therapy as well as acceptance and committment therapy. I also often use worksheets and exercises to help further practice learned strategies and skills.
