When you meet me, you can expect me to be compassionate, kind, and not judgmental. My goal is to make therapy as comfortable for the client as possible. I am open and accepting of all people. When a session has finished, I hope my client has felt heard, learned something about themself or their situation, and worked towards a solution using their strengths.

I have completed training in many different modalities of psychotherapy. I typically use a multi-modality approach in most sessions. I always start with a Biopsychosocial Assessment and history of the client's life with a trauma-informed approach. I do this through an intentional interview in a conversation. This will lead to a natural and comfortable discussion about the client's needs and goals for therapy, it will also allow me to provide the most accurate diagnosis. Other modalities I commonly use in sessions are strengths-based positive psychology, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, CBT, Brief Solutions Focused Problem Solving, Family Systems Therapy, Adult Components-Based Psychotherapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, and many other techniques as appropriate for each session. With Children, I will incorporate play therapy, sand tray, and family systems therapy. I also provide counseling for married and unmarried alike. I am experienced in same-sex family counseling and same-sex couples counseling.
