What does a first session with you look like?

Success in therapy can be measured by decreased symptoms, increased resilience, increased capacity for joy and play, or an increased sense of meaning and purpose. Getting to this place is not always comfortable; My clients can expect a competent and effective therapist who will help them achieve their goals efficiently.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I use an integrated and individualized approach to psychotherapy. I am trained in multiple empirically-supported modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and cognitive processing therapy. I also incorporate body-based, creative, and spiritual lenses as they are appropriate to the individual.
