What does a first session with you look like?
The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. What is your style/approach to therapy?
I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. As both a husband and a father, I understand the importance of how communication, conflict resolution, and boundaries can contribute to building healthier relationships.

Robert Messarge Jr. is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida who specializes in treating relationship issues, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, and compulsive behaviors such as addiction. He works with a wide variety of age groups from children and teenagers (ages 5-18 years old) to adults and older populations (ages 18-65). Robert has over 10 years of clinical experience as a counselor, providing services to a diverse array of clientele. Robert attained both his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor's in Psychology from Liberty University, where he graduated with honors. In addition to his clinical experience, Robert has also participated as a psychological researcher at Liberty University. As both a husband and a father, Robert understands the importance of how communication, conflict resolution, and boundaries can contribute to building healthier relationships.
