What does a first session with you look like?
During our first sessions, we will create a treatment plan that specifically outlines your long-term goals, and address your unique needs. I believe that you are the expert of your life and my role is to help empower your self-understanding and healing abilities, while encouraging you to adopt new narratives and skills. I will support you in building skills to better manage overwhelming feelings, build and maintain healthy relationships, and help you process emotional experiences.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I practice from an integrative, strength-based, and collaborative approach to customize your therapy experience and best support you in meeting your goals. As an EMDR-trained clinician, I can help you process painful life experiences to further clear roadblocks on the path you are navigating. I will teach you new ways to cope with the challenges you're facing by utilizing CBT and DBT skills. We will incorporate mindfulness practices and visualizations to calm and retrain your nervous system.
