What does a first session with you look like?
My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, build on your strengths, and make sense of your own story. I will support your journey in rewriting or honoring the various scripts you tell yourself. We will incorporate a transgenerational, societal, and cultural framework. Please do not hesitate to reach out and find a therapist that is a good fit for you.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
To fully understand your mind and spirit, we will utilize a mindfulness, trauma focused and person-centered lens. I'm rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) which is an evidenced based intervention model when working ages 0-5. I have also completed NMT (Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics) training certification (Phase I level). NMT is a developmentally informed approach that organizes an individual’s trauma narrative and experience. The goal is to identify key strengths and effective interventions to meet your needs. I am bilingual (Spanish) and passionate about supporting individuals with intersecting identities. I also have experience and training in the following modalities: ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
