Work History

Most of my clients are struggling to find balance between work, relationships and truly taking care of themselves. They are so used to worrying about making things easier for everyone else that asking for help feels like a burden. They do all the “right” self care things but chasing wellness just leaves them feeling more exhausted. They get caught up in trying to make their experiences look more authentic than they feel. They struggle to stay in the moment and feel fully present in their lives. It’s easier to escape to scrolling media than it is to be alone with themselves and sleep can be elusive. Many of my clients feel a strong responsibility to keep the peace in their families that they easily put their own needs aside. They often feel like they should be doing things differently, then they’ll feel guilty for not changing. Feeling like things need to be perfect often stops them from going after the things they really want. They spend a lot of time overthinking and analyzing to the point where they feel confused about their choices. They feel like even small decisions can have huge repercussions. A lot of energy is spent on trying to plan out everything and they are always preparing for the worst. Even small inconveniences can make them feel frustrated and out of control. I love working with women in their twenties and thirties who feel responsible for everything and everyone in their lives. I know the energy it takes to be a perfectionist. I know what it’s like to feel beholden to other people’s emotions. I want to help free you of these burdens. We’ll meet by video so please make sure you have a comfortable, confidential space with decent internet connection. I welcome laughter in the therapy room as much as tears. No topic is off limits and no emotion is too big or too small. Therapy is hard work and I know it can feel scary to start. We’ll work on brainstorming solutions to specific problems, learning skills to manage your worries, and figuring out how to live a balanced and meaningful life. I’ll challenge you, but the pace we go is always up to you. I aim to create a space that is yours to feel supported, vent if you need to, wonder about life’s big questions and learn more about yourself. I’d love to help you discover just how resilient you can be. Like my clients, you deserve to feel peace without worrying about letting down your family, partner, friends or work. You deserve to stand up for yourself and have the life you want. You deserve to feel calm, confident, and in control of your life. I’d love to help you get there.
