What does a first session with you look like?

My goal is to create a comforting and safe environment so that even after the first session, you are left feeling relief that your problems were heard and validated. The first few sessions will be spent building rapport, learning the characters in your life, and learning the history of how you became the person you are today. As we move forward in our work together, we will work together to identify your triggers, what coping skills work for your specific needs, and ways to integrate practical self-care so you can navigate through the world feeling more confident and at ease.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

My background in working with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, crisis management, and trauma have given me tools to engage even the most resistant client, relaxation techniques people of any age can utilize, and creative activities to do in session to increase engagement. My work is influenced with goal-oriented, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy frameworks.
