What does a first session with you look like?

After your first session, we will decide the best next step as we consider the initial assessment phase. Each session should provide clarity on what was achieved, what to expect for the next session and your tasks in between sessions. I hope that you will be empowered to ask questions and leave each session with tools to help you build more of the life you desire and deserve.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I use a strength-based, trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally relevant approach sprinkled with some humor in my practice. The use of cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, motivational interviewing, storytelling, mindfulness, and role play are other methods and tools I apply during sessions. I encourage clients to bring their whole selves into the therapeutic space, including their religious/spiritual beliefs as they feel comfortable.
