What does a first session with you look like?
Clients often tell me that I am very easy to talk to, and appreciate that I am non-judgemental. Our first session will be spent obtaining a thorough history of you and your experiences leading you to seeking out therapeutic services. This will be conversation where I will be all ears and ready to learn about you! After our initial session, we will work together to determine some goals you hope to accomplish by attending therapy. Then we will begin working on said goals, while processing every day life/stressors as well.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Narrative Therapy. I often utilize books and/or cards and worksheets when it will be helpful for the client.
