Hello I'm Shanda I take delight in understanding you in the frame of where you are in your life and what the world looks like through your lens. I focus on fostering a safe place to discuss the impact of your individual experiences that can lead you to developing a different, more adaptive vision of yourelf, the future, and the world.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I mainly work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, which is a collaborative way to address feelings, thoughts and actions that are distorted or maladaptive. I rely on other approaches too including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to welcome my clients on a therapeutic journey as your teammate. With my warm and compassionate approach, I non-judgmentally to work towards personal goals for growth and your healing.
