What does a first session with you look like?

When individuals enter therapy, many are skeptical that their life situation can improve. I believe everyone can achieve their best life. But, we aren't always equipped to handle life's challenges. I'm here to provide you a safe place to express yourself, help you gain a better understanding of yourself, and provide you with the skills to pursue your dreams. I am here to walk along this journey of life with you, celebrating your wins and standing with you when you fall.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

My preferred methods of treatment include cognitive-behavioral and dialectical (DBT). Both these approaches target examining our thinking, beliefs and attitudes and how they link to how we behave. This helps in improving how we are able to regulate our emotions and develop coping strategies to solving current problems. I particularly enjoy working with pre-teens, teenagers, and adults. I also conduct psychological evaluations for school-aged children and teens. I consult with psychiatrists, primary care providers, teachers and other school personnel.
