What does a first session with you look like?

I love to learn about the life, strengths and perspectives of others. I find joy in the process of connecting and finding new ways to grow. I am the same in and out of therapy. I use my humor, curiosity and compassion to help others feel safe and cared for. You can expect honesty and openness and some creativity. I believe that when therapy is working, we both grow.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I believe in having authentic experiences together. I have studied many modalities and rely on my experience and intuition to know how to help my clients. That said, I am most fond of symbolic experiential therapy, narrative therapy and neuro-linguistic programming. I also consistently discuss progress or lack of progress with my clients as a way of discovering what does and does not work for you. I believe it is my responsibility as a therapist to find what does work for you. As such, I keep reading and learning so as to have more tools to offer.
