Sherree Turcott LCSW

My upbringing and life experience have given me the resilience and strength needed in this field. As a therapist, it is my job to make space in my own world for my clients’ thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and trauma. In doing so, I am able to validate their experiences and emotions. I can empower them to take control of their life and help them believe that they can do hard things.

I am solution-focused and always give my clients resources to support the work we are doing in sessions. I take an integrative, trauma-informed approach to tailor each session to my client's needs. As a former teacher and a chronic overachiever, I am constantly seeking out new learning opportunities. I have multiple professional licenses in different subject areas, and I am always completing continuing education courses to keep up-to-date in all of my fields. When needed, I will consult with other therapists about a case that might be concerning to me to get additional opinions on the treatment plan or if a particular case is stretching beyond my expertise. I truly believe knowledge is power and encourage my clients to be open to learning something new.
