What does a first session with you look like?
You can expect to be engaged in a collaborative process meeting you where you are so you can start creating solutions. You can expect to have emotional highs and lows. These feelings are normal and a part of the process but the focus will always be on wellness, wholeness, and purposeful living.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My style of therapy incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. These approaches emphasize people's capacity to make rational choices and develop to their maximum potential by changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts. This is done by discovering the unconscious meanings and purposes of your feelings and actions.
