What does a first session with you look like?
My goal in each session is to leave you better than I found you. You might be asked to continue to process subjects that have been discussed and to begin utilizing new coping skills and coping mechanisms to aid in the therapeutic process according to the therapeutic goals created with your input.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Marriage and Family Therapist therapeutic models are based on systemic theories. Meaning that as your therapist, I will work with the identified client, however, we will process the system of people that influence you, and contribute to the person that you have become. I use Solution Focused Therapy, Bowen, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, MRI, mindfulness and Gottman Theory to name a few.
