Under Clinical Supervision

Stacey Laughlin, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, MC61360831 is practicing under the supervision of Jennifer McCormick (Washington, LICSW, LW61433653) at NOCD.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I've always been the 'therapist friend,' a role that naturally led me to pursue a career in psychology. As I started my career, I've learned how living with OCD can be overwhelming and is often misunderstood, causing many to suffer in silence for years. My therapeutic approach is personalized for each individual, incorporating three key elements: creativity, collaboration, and consistency. This ensures that our treatment plans are specifically tailored to meet your unique needs. My colleagues and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment tailored to the unique complexities of OCD. We are thoroughly trained in ERP therapy, the gold standard for OCD treatment. When you start with therapy, you’ll either work directly with me or one of my colleagues, based on your preference and availability. We’ll take the time to get to know you and create a customized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. Additionally, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone. You’ve taken a courageous first step by considering therapy. I look forward to working with you and helping you reclaim your life from OCD.
