What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Staci Dungee is a Virginia native who currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Virginia, a Master of Science degree in Clinical Health Psychology from Virginia State University and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Staci has been working in the mental health field since 2012 and is currently a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor- Supervisee. Staci has had experience working with all age groups and populations. She has worked in group homes, in the school systems, at community-based programs, contracted with Department of Corrections providing substance abuse individual and group therapy and has provided mental health outpatient therapy throughout her years in the mental health field. Staci has experience with working with depression, anxiety, substance abuse disorders, co-occurring disorders, ADHD, behavioral issues, trauma, self-esteem issues, self-injurious behaviors and suicidal ideation.
