What does a first session with you look like?

You can expect to walk away with a sense of “Feeling heard, listened to and understood.” You will walk away feeling like you can accomplish things with renewed motivation and have a better outlook on life. Clients will experience a sense of new HOPE and feeling like: “It could be worst and it’s NOT.” Clients may experience a rebirth of new ideas and new ways to look at things, relationships, ideologies, and so forth.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (unraveling cognitive distortions, identify problems and build awareness of your negative thoughts and behavior, recognize your thoughts are opinions and be able to distinguish between facts and irrational thoughts, consciously challenge and reframe dysfunctional assumptions, set achievable goals, etc.). Solution Focused Therapy (help you change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems). Family Systems Therapy (Develop and maintain healthy boundaries. Facilitate cohesion and communication. Promote problem-solving by a better understanding of family dynamics.)
