What does a first session with you look like?
My sessions focus on exploring your true self and finding a way to live a meaningful life. Each session we will review what is most important to you and then work through the goals you set for your own treatment goals. I will listen, maybe ask questions, and allow you to share your perspectives as we work to find healing for your life. Initially, I will meet with you weekly as we get to know one another and maintain open communication to ensure you are receiving the treatment you need to move forward in life. I do not tend to give "homework" so neither of us has to worry about anything other than being present.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am an existential therapist and use techniques to assist you in finding your answers. I may work on utilizing mindfulness techniques to reduce stress, improve focus, and provide you with skills to help you feel more aware and confident. Essentially, I am just the professional and you are the expert.
