What does a first session with you look like?
The idea of therapy may feel frightening, and those feelings are totally normal. I strive in creating an encouraging, safe and positive environment where your voice matters, you feel supported, respected and free from judgment. I am passionate about helping clients identify and explore their feelings, identify challenges and explore resolutions. Furthermore, collaboratively, we will identify ways to decrease stressors and create creative approaches to start accomplishing tangible goals, foster change, healing and growth.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My overall therapeutic approach is very warm and person-centered. I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential in treatment and beginning where the client is most comfortable is key. I utilize a tailored approach depending on each clients individual needs, as therapy is not a one size fits all. Treatment modalities include; Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Person-Centered Solution Focused Brief (SFBT); Strength-Based; Trauma Focused.
