What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Susan Edwards Curtis, MD is a Psychiatrist with nearly 20 years of experience specializing in General Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Curtis has experience in both medication management and insight- oriented therapy modalities. Her goal is to work with clients in a wellness-based model, with an approach that emphasizes self-empowering compassion and care. In her free time, Dr. Curtis enjoys spending time singing, running (or walking) 5K races, doing various crafts, and spending time at home with her family and dogs. Dr. Curtis attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina, then completed Psychiatry residency and Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship in Harvard affiliated programs in Massachusetts. After working at multiple teaching hospitals in Boston, she returned home to the Carolinas several years ago to be closer to family.
