What does a first session with you look like?

The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided and supported as they work through their unique mental health challenges – and, along the way, shown the life-changing power of therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. As a bi-racial woman and one who has experience with different cultures and settings, let's work together as a team to achieve your desired outcome.

What should we know about your experiences and background?

Suzanne Wright is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 7 years of experience. She comes from a multi-cultural background and it has allowed her to see things in all different lights and spaces. It has allowed her to observe and be present in ways not many people get to experience. She enjoys working with individuals and assisting them in their challenges. Suzanne specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, and chronic illness. Suzanne completed her Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) at the University of Saint Leo. She has been in the social service field for over 20 years which has allowed her to incorporate many different treatment modalities and theories when working with clients. Some of her favorite modalities of treatment are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational Interviewing, and more. Suzanne as a therapist will bring a calm nature, active listening, a nonjudgmental attitude, and a supportive relationship. We all have a journey and understanding your journey is what Suzanne wants her clients to do. She will foster effective self-reflection and help you to achieve your goals.
