What is your style/approach to therapy?

At Family Solutions Counseling, my practice is faith-based. My faith and life experiences are why I chose to become a Counselor. I also use Structural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy methods .In order to change a person's behavior, a therapist must first look at the structure of their family. Solution Focused Therapy is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems that brought clients to seek therapy.

What does a first session with you look like?

My job is not to judge but to build a level of trust, provide support, encourage the client to feel safe in expressing symptoms, and help find solutions.
