What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Tammy Ellington is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee who has been practicing since 2021. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Registered Nurse) from Auburn University, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Shorter University, and an Associate of Science in Natural Science from Reinhardt University. Prior to becoming a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Tammy worked as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit, cardiac care unit, operating room, and G. I. Lab. Tammy understands making a mental health appointment takes courage. Her goal is to provide you with an environment where you feel safe, seen, and understood from the minute you enter her office.
