What does a first session with you look like?
In my sessions I give my clients the experience of being heard and their concerns taken seriously. I tailor my approach to meet my client's expectations and every therapy is very individualized. It is important that we are on the same page with our goals and discuss and update the therapy plan as needed. Just know that this is your therapy which will go as fast or as slow as you need it to be.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I have received excellent and intensive training as a psychodynamic psychotherapist in Germany which required me to attend school part-time while completing my multiple internships over the course of 6 years post graduation as a psychologist. I utilize short-term in-depth methods for depression and adjustment disorders. I also am trained in the methods of cognitive behavioral therapy which is excellent to treat anxiety. One such speciality is ERP or exposure response prevention which targets OCD very successfully.
