What does a first session with you look like?
Clients can expect for me to hear them. It is my goal to assist the client in the establishment of goals so to move beyond the present difficulties and to learn to feel good.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist clients in the process of learning how to better manage their moods. I employ the tenets of active listening with which I integrate Unconditional Positive regard and Congruence. For my Christian clients I utilize Integrative Psychotherapy that utilizes evidence based psychological approaches, integrated with Biblical teachings.
