The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. I understand the complexities of our busy lives that often complicate mental health and provide obstacles to a more happy, satisfied life.

Todd Newman is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 15 years of experience in talk therapy/clinical settings. Todd is interested in assisting adolescents, adults, and couples to work through issues pragmatically and insightfully. Todd specializes in in-depth/insight, adjustment/transitions, mood-based issues, and special populations, i.e. autism/cognitive delay and substance abuse, amongst others. Todd completed his Master of Social Work in 2008 at The University of Akron. He has well-versed and robust clinical experience in many facets of the mental health field as a clinician. His style/theoretical approach is eclectic but strives to use insight/analytical, purposeful/pragmatic, interpersonal, and strategic approaches. He has specialized training in addictions, psychosis, DBT, CBT, and developmental disabilities. Psychology is part of the human condition and everyone will face challenges. It is perfectly fine to consult or seek counsel regarding anything that could be intolerable or hard to deal with. For every problem/issue, there is a solution or some way to correct it. We are not alone, and interpersonally, we need guidance and suggestions. Todd looks forward to helping you navigate challenges and of course being someone to confide in.
