What does a first session with you look like?
I believe two things can be true at the same time. I will help you accept and appreciate the beauty of your strengths that helped you survive while challenging you to experience a life that matches who you would like to become. What does that look like? First it starts with creating a safe environment where you can thrive and feel comfortable being radically honest with yourself. Then, we will work together to build insight into your life story and create behavioral changes and thought process to improve your quality of life.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am trained and experienced in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Solution focused Treatment, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy and Trauma focused treatment. However, my main priority is creating a healthy therapeutic relationship built on compassion, mutual respect and honesty.
