What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Courtney Young is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings for 8+ years. She is passionate about mental/brain health as well as human rights and will greet you with compassion, an open-mind, and a curious spirit. She aims to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to practice self-compassionate awareness to process our most vulnerable thoughts and feelings to learn how to navigate grief as well as transcend trauma, guilt, and shame in order to live a full and wholehearted life. Courtney earned her Master of Arts degree in Holistic Counseling with a CAGS in Mental Health Counseling from Salve Regina University and received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology along with a focus in Behavioral Neuroscience from Rhode Island College.
