What does a first session with you look like?
I work primarily using the brief therapy model. Depending upon the situation, therapy is held once a week for 4 weeks. Then a reevaluation of the treatment plan will occur to determine what next steps look like. If the client is in crisis, I typically recommend seeing them 2 times a week for 4 weeks. Then reevaluating the treatment plan in order to plot client progression. If that is not feasible, then the client and I can work out a schedule that works best to help them meet their needs.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
The majority of my sessions are Person-centred while utilizing CBT, CPT, ACT, Interpersonal, Talk, Solution focused or Trauma focused therapies to help the client realize that change begins with them.
