What is your style/approach to therapy?

I enjoy working from a trauma-informed lens. With the sentiment of "it's not what is wrong with you but what happened to you", I have a foundation of looking at the adaptive, normal ways your body reacts to abnormal situations. When working through uncomfortable emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and sensations, I like to use body and brain-based methods like Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems.

What does a first session with you look like?

After our first session, you should feel like your concerns are heard, you understand the ways that we can address those concerns, and what to expect throughout our work together. You should expect me to ask about the process of our therapy since I am committed to making therapy the experience that you are looking for while feedback during this always-changing process.
