What does a first session with you look like?
My clients describe me as an open therapist, accepting, and challenging them to take effective action toward change. I like to provide an easy, warm environment to assist the client in feeling comfortable enough to process challenging emotions. Together, we will work on your goals in a way that you can implement them outside of therapy and make a life change towards improving satisfaction and quality of life. We will work through any issues that impede your life fulfillment.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Tyler implements different treatment modalities, such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Tyler takes a strength-based approach to aid the client in identifying mindfulness techniques and developing effective coping skills for daily life stressors. Tyler is TF-CBT Trained.
