What does a first session with you look like?
Tyreese seeks to increase emotional intelligence and insight in her clients, help them discover the root of their hurt and distress, develop healthier and more self acknowledging narratives. Tyreese believes that the only positive thing about mental health is that it doesn’t discriminate and everyone has a mental health. Tyreese believes in the power of being able to say “me too” and acknowledging that anyone can experience grief, stress, and difficulties managing life events or stressors. She believes that healing comes from honoring our own resiliency, processing our trauma and experiences, and seeing ourselves as resilient and worthy of a life of hope and happiness.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Tyreese specializes in Truama focused cognitive behavioral therapy (tf-Cbt), function behavioral assessments and therapy, and individual and family therapy with children and youth experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties. She has over 8 years of experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and families and 3 years of experience supervising therapist.
