What is your style/approach to therapy?

I believe healing happens when we feel truly seen and accepted as our authentic selves. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, creating a space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences without judgment. Grounded in an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens, I consider how relationships, culture, and lived experiences shape the way we move through the world. When we feel stuck, revisiting past experiences with curiosity and compassion can help process emotions and create space for new possibilities. I also integrate mind-body awareness, supporting clients in deepening self-understanding, releasing what no longer serves them, and cultivating a greater sense of peace and self-acceptance.

What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?

I believe empathy and compassion are the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship. When we approach challenges with understanding rather than judgment or blame, we create space for healing and growth. Feeling truly seen and accepted can help you build self-compassion and a deeper sense of self-acceptance, which are essential for healing. In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe to express yourself openly, without fear of judgment. Therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are, explore your experiences at your own pace, and know that you are met with warmth, respect, and care.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs, drawing from techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), somatic work, mindfulness, and parts work. These approaches help build coping skills, process emotions, and deepen awareness of your inner experiences. I also support you in exploring past experiences to understand how they shape your present and influence your relationships. Through this process, we can work toward uncovering your inner strengths, building resilience, and helping you feel less stuck so you can move forward and create the life you want.

Work History

I have experience providing mental health support in community and healthcare settings, working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. These experiences have shown me how powerful it can be to have someone listen without judgment and how feeling heard can make even the heaviest challenges feel less isolating. This understanding shapes my approach to therapy, reinforcing my belief that everyone’s story deserves to be heard and that healing happens in spaces of compassion, curiosity, and genuine connection. In my work, I integrate mindfulness, somatic practices, and CBT to help clients deepen self-awareness, build coping tools, and create meaningful change.
