What is your style/approach to therapy?
Treatment methods include primarily CBT, as described above, as well as psychodynamic theory and client centered/unconditional positive regard approaches. We can also use training in guided imagery and visualization.
What does a first session with you look like?
After our initial meeting, you will have begun to identify and verbalize core beliefs that are in support of depression/anxiety as well as a start to how these troubling beliefs can be challenged and replaced with agreed upon beliefs that are more reality based and support an improved mood.
