What does a first session with you look like?
The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. What is your style/approach to therapy?
I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. I describe myself as an experienced counselor with integrity, kindness, and effectiveness in building rapport by assisting my clients in process ing the difficulties and challenges in their lives.

Whitney Coulombe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples address their unique challenges in order for them to gain a better sense of overall peace and wellbeing. Whitney specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, and relationship issues. Whitney completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Tennessee. She views the counseling experience as a collaborative process, focusing on the uniqueness of each individual. Whitney utilizes multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused, and client-centered approaches. We all go through challenges in our lives that may be difficult to cope with on our own. Whitney will support you by giving you the most effective tools to achieve your goals. Whitney seeks to establish a caring relationship and assist you in identifying your strengths and building on them to gain a better sense of overall wellbeing. She will be your collaborative, empathetic guide throughout the therapeutic process.
