What does a first session with you look like?
From our first session I value a collaborative approach. You are the expert of your own life and I can provide expertise to help you navigate the challenges of that life. I will meet you where you are at and create an individualized approach so that we can help you meet your goals in the most genuine and sustainable way possible. We will learn to understand and accept every part of ourselves in order to develop skills and attributes such as curiosity, calm, and compassion.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I have worked with diverse populations and age groups. I incorporate therapeutic orientations such as person-centered, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Through being trained in many different modalities including art therapy and EMDR I have learned that every person needs to approach problems in a way unique to them.
